Saint Louis Irrigation Network

A 38,000-hectare irrigated farming network in the river valley, including farmer training and operation.

The Saint Louis Irrigation Network will open 38,000 hectares of irrigated farmland in the river valley. The project covers not only canals and pumping stations but also a 4,500-hectare model farm operated by Selvi Tarım and training for 2,400 farmers. The second stage came on stream this year; rice and vegetable yields rose 2.6 times compared with traditional methods.
