The history, values and current structure of Selvi Holding.
The story of Selvi Holding goes back to a small road and bridge contracting firm that Nihat Selvi founded with two partners in Adana in 1957. Building irrigation canals and village roads in Çukurova, the company expanded into the Middle East in the 1970s and began taking part in international tenders from the 1980s.
The holding works in six business lines: Contracting and Infrastructure, Energy Investments, Agriculture and Food, Real Estate Development, Machinery and Equipment, and Water and Environment. Of 18,500 employees, 12,000 work in agriculture and food and 6,500 in contracting and energy.
Safety comes before everything. Delivering on the promised date, within budget and to the quality standard; building long-term relationships with local communities; and never compromising on ethical rules make up the company's values. Three management system standards (ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001) are applied on all sites.
The holding employs 18,500 people. No distinction is made in recruitment by gender, age or nationality; women make up 17 percent of the workforce and 22 percent of management. Every year 220 young engineers and agricultural engineers are admitted to the two-year Young Talent Program.
Design, procurement, construction and operation: experience in EPC and FIDIC contracts.
A lost-time injury frequency of 0.31, well below the sector average.
We build irrigation infrastructure and also produce and operate food on the same land.
